Daily Devotional
I am thinking of starting up a blog that will be linked off this one that i will use to write my thought on my daily devotionals. It will help me reflect, remember and put into practice the things i learn. Hopefully it will get me into a habbit of doing devotionals more and act as my accountability. However this is assignment season and so if i do decide to start this blog i will only be posting about once a week. (don't think i won't be doing my devotionals the other six days, i just won't have the time to do the reflection too.) I do hope to get into the habbit though. I would be welcoming any contrary thoughts to my own reflections also.
Any thoughts on me putting this plan into action?

I think it's a good idea, it is a mission to keep those things going though! I originally tried to do that with my 2 blogs, one being a blog about everyday things and the other was christian thoughts but it never worked out like that.
You know what I want to do? Make a christian forum for christchurch. I think it could be cool! What do you think about that?
Sounds good. But how would it work? People posting their thoughts on their devotionals? people talking about issues? There is a site called www.sloppynoodle.com where you can do taht kind of stuff, but a local one would be better i think.
We could have an Opawa one that outreaches to anyone who wants to comment. That way it may start in the Opawa or Opawa based/linked sites and move, hopefully, out into a more broad christchurch as more people come to it
I personally like the idea of having a non-affliated one, as to make everybody feel welcome, although it would be harder to do.
It'd just be a forum for christians, not always about christian things, but just for local christians, of course there would be theological talk and etc, everything really, but there are heaps of christchurch christians i think it would be cool. obviously it'd need to be well moderated, i think not only to keep the crap out but also to keep the quality up, and being modded (for example) by people like you and i would make it nicely balanced, because we share core beliefs, which is good overall.
blogs are great for sharing certain things, but they're not for having discussion really.
anyway, i don't know how to do it.
Sounds really good to me.
You could probably just integrate it into your blog here as a regular feature, though.
As to the dude that climbed into the lions' cage, what do you think would have happened to Jesus Christ, had he given serious thought to the Adversary's private interpretation of Scripture to "Cast thyself down" from the temple wall? He would've gone "splat", that's what.
The atheist was tempting God and got the reward of his foolishness.
